I was thinking maybe we could potentially add a subscribe button to the commentator infobox so that people who are curious about the users in question can subscribe to them right from the wiki page. I noticed Wikitubia also does that with the pages of its users and I think it would be cool if the CC Wiki did the same thing with the users on this wiki. Here's an example. Unfortunately, the only problem is that I am unsure on how to implement the subscribe button onto the template to show up on pages on this wiki. If anybody could find out how to add the template and added it in, I would gladly appreciate it.

Alright, I know I already posted this in my Message Board, but since no one seemed to notice, I’m going to make a blog post about an idea I had for this Wiki.

I was wondering if maybe we could have a timeline page going over events that have occured in the Commentary Community, such as release dates of commentaries, dates users have joined and left YouTube and the CC, dates of important events in the community, etc.

The concept I have in mind would look something like this or this.

I am aware that a project like this will take a long time to fully complete, so I do understand if some people would be against my idea. However, if we all work hard and long enough, I believe that we can make something great out of my idea.

So... you know how Commentator pages now have tabs for "main info", "Commentary list", and the... under-utilized "Image Gallery", since most (not all before anyone says anything) commentators have like... some lore, or have introduced... SOME characters to their commentaries...

what if there was a tab for commentators in-video characters?

Am I the only one who looks at the front page and find it funny that the news box still has TP joining FOX as the most recent event?

So, I know a lot about the commentary community. Heck, I think I know too much about the commentary community (Just look at the page I made for BassClefEly) However, I made a page for a commentator named Jack the Lightning Ripper (otherwise known as Jack Stevenson). I added info about him being a commentator by the name of StevenTheMaster95, though I'm not sure if that's the case. There were a few things that pointed to him being Steven, but there were also other things that pointed to the contrary.

If anyone knows if this is true, let me know

So, I've been seeing a bunch of new pages being made about random commentators. The problem I have with these new pages is that.............they pretty much start off as really bare bones and barely add any info regarding the commentators in question. Like, to give more of a reference, the info will be something like "(Insert commentator here) is a commentator", the avatars will have a few of the person's avatars, and pretty much the people they commentated on with no links to other pages. A perfect example of this Lucas C's wiki page, which is bare bones as all hell. (It also has a pic of his channel icon without it being in an infobox, which looks awkward)

I find these pages incredibly lazy as they tend to not give enough info and I feel…

    Hey New Guy Here!

April 18, 2018 by Arotix Trenar

Hey everyone, the name's Arotix Trenar, a new guy in the CC, as you might know, I am a new and upcoming commentator that... is working on one as we speak. I don't know if this is something to address but I'm making one for the sake of it. I know it sounds like I'm just following new grounds, but hear me out. The reason why is due to the fact that with me coming into the CC I thought I would be adding myself to it. Now it won't be a very detailed Wiki but I think I can give out my main avatar. It's something I really wanted to do and since I got all the tools I needed for making commentaries I'll try to get my motivation on these things. With that out of the way, I think that I'll be signing off, thank you for your time reading this short b…

That's the note "Received many dislikes due to fan backlash".

This note implies the main reason people disliked the video is because they are fans of the person being commentated on which is not true. Most of the times when people dislike commentaries (unless they're just doing it to be dicks) they do it because they have legitimate issues with the arguments someone makes.

I find that note pretty insulting to be honest.

There is this guy who constantly goes to the dirtbikeredden and skihound page to remove RedAppleGP from the list of people who commentated on them. Even after I linked the video. http://the-commentary-community.wikia.com/index.php?title=Dirtbikeredden&diff=4427&oldid=4426

Someone should do something about this. Thank you.

  • MrA 'N M360

Hey, so, many of you probably noticed a lot of recent changes, all involving the user "MrAwesome 'N Mario360" AKA me.

After seeing all the pages that I was mentioned in along with being a commentator, I was surprised a page wasn't made of me yet. So, taking matters into my own hands, I created my own page for the wiki and added myself to the list of commentators

I didn't want to stop there as one of the major things that could cause confusion is the alteration of my YT username I made quite awhile back, so I went to just about every page I could that listed my username and updated it, along with linking my page to it. This is the reason this surge of recent activity occured.

I apologize if this annoyed some people

There is one thing I absoultely hated about the old commetnary community wiki. And that's these useless categories that can apply to anyone.

Mr. Enter haters? Most of the commentary community hate this guy. Animation community? That's also something that applies to most of the CC. Why not add the Pokémon Community, video gaming community or the film fan community while you're ahead? There were also subjective categories like trolls. With someone like Gligar13Vids it's obvious he's a troll, but whether or not someone is a troll isn't always obvious, and many disagree on who is and isn't a troll. And yeah I don't think it really matters if someone is an adult or a teenager. The teenager category only fits someone for a few years, and then the…

There is one thing I'm wondering about. Should people who aren't part of the CC but still make commentaries have their own pages?

I mean people like The Amazing Atheist, Sargon of Akaad, Libertarian Socialist Rants and the Armoured Skeptic. These people I mentioned are political commentators. Should they have their own page, or should we only have pages on people who are officially members of the CC?

Alright, so I've heard there's currently an uproar for older commentators / lesser known commentators.

Yes, commentators like Jim81Jim and Pikachamgamer64 ARE as important to the community as Rion Mills or MasterTP10, I won't take away that, the problem is however, we can't just go willy nilly adding pages based on these commentators when we have like... no information on who they are, what commentaries they've made, or... really anything along those lines, with no info... we simply can't put these pages in the wiki.

Could there maybe be a chance to add them if anyone can find info? Sure, I don't see why not, but that would have to be the job of YOU guys who want these people to have pages, it would be your job to provide the info, don't jus…

    Trivia sections

    April 25, 2017 by Blazethemoviefan

I recently cleaned up the trivia section on the article about me and put all the necessary information into the article itself and totally removed the rest.

This is supposed to be an encylopedia for information. I personally think there should be no trivia section in any article. If there is important information then it should be put somewhere in the article, but if it's just useful trivia that's not really that important it shouldn't be in the article at all.

We are trying to make this wiki better than the previous one. And I think removing trivia sections altogether is better than keeping it. If a user holds a record I think it's more important to mention that in the first paragraph of the article.

An open letter to those in ODD who wish to vandalize the wiki because "nobody takes the wiki seriously anyway".

Ever stop to think that MAYBE people don't take the wiki seriously BECAUSE you guys like to vandalize it every week or so? Huh... it's almost as if this is a catch-22 and you guys don't seem to be clever enough to catch on to that. George and the rest of the admins (as far as I can tell, outside of Quote) would like an actual source of information on commentators newcomers to the CC can use to learn about people in the community. You choosing to vandalize it at every turn, makes that difficult. Fuck, you HAVE the CommentaryDB ALL to yourselves now, you can fuck that shit up all you want, while this can be a legitimate source of informa…
